Spent two days for the eclipse. This park sits below the Center Hill Dam with direct access to the Caney Fork River. Sites are pristine, large and lush. Water, electric, grill, fire ring, picnic and prep tables, nearly level fine gravel parking. Very clean bathhouses. Go stocked with pre-purchased heat-treated firewood (a Requirement) and be aware that there is no store or firewood sales on site. So be sure to stock up your supplies. It's well worth it!!

Before I say anything potentially negative, let me reassure the readers of this review that my family had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay at this campground. The facilities are extremely well-maintained and clean. The staff is super friendly and helpful--even if they are a bit strict on occasion (which is for everyone's benefit). The camp is in an ideal location for anyone wishing to explore Center Hill Lake, Edgar Evins State Park, or the Caney Fork River. We absolutely plan to return to this recreation area again.

A very friendly and cozy campground. Riverside with everything you need convenient. Dock access for canoeing and kyaking. We will be back.

This is one of the nicest campgrounds in Middle Tennessee. The camp sites are all level; bathhouses clean; grounds very well maintained; and staff are friendly and helpful. I always enjoy my visits to that recreation area.

But, as is often the case, every experience shares a lesson. I have no doubt this is a great location for RV camping, but the tent camping sites were not as well situated. My son and I were at site 28, which did benefit from some late afternoon shade, but we were expressly warned not to pitch our tent in the well-shaded grassy area that was immediately next to designated gravel-covered site. Speaking of gravel, be sure to pack extra tarps (I always have a few on hand) to cushion your feet and protect your tent floor since typical footprints may not protect your tent from the large sharp rocks used here. Of course, I've made note of some better sites to choose for our return trips, because we will absolutely come back.

Host could be a little more friendly! No walking trails. The sites are spacious...
